Feng shui anyone?

I know one of the rules for feng shui is not to have anything heavy hanging on the wall above your bed. I have a heavy mirror with a shelf ( looks like a window ) i have moved it around my apt but i feel it looks best above my bed. Is there anything i can do to counter this "bad chi"? like hanging a crystal or something?
Also..if it looks right and "feels" right for it to be above my bed wouldn’t that be enough in the world of feng shui?

i know that you want to have your cake and eat it too. but in the world of fengshui, there is no such thing.

i for one do not believe in remedies, because a remedy just make a bad into a neutral temporarily, then when right time comes, the bad will happen whether you have installed your remedy or not.

besides when you are really good in fengshui, you can do a lot of things to make the bad situation good.

in this case, the best thing to do is to remove the mirror and store it somewhere else.

a mirror does more harm than good, if it is placed in the bedroom. having you or someone else see your reflection while your in bed is like you in a casket, or simply death.

this does not have to do anything with how you feel or believe. fengshui is not based on your beliefs or anybody else’s in the first place. it just works by itself.

hanging crystals in the bedroom only makes your bedroom more yang, which can aggraviate the problem more.

the thing with bedrooms, is that it is better to keep them simple, more yin, you are there to sleep, not watch tv, not surf the internet, nor enjoy listening to music - these are all yang, which must be done in the living room.

and i think the mirror is more appropriate in the living room than the bedroom.

to the person who answered that a mirror is a very useful tool in fengshui, it is evident that you do not know anything about fengshui and that you got most of your information from books. at the core of fengshui are the fengshui concepts. when you understand and know how to use these concepts. you can use other tools aside from mirrors. have you seen a well fengshui’d house full of mirrors??? i don’t even think that there is a building in hongkong full of mirrors. because they do more bad than good. - this proves that the information published in most books and websites are free because they are useless!

Feng shui advice for studio flat :) help!

After coming out of an operation I am starting a business. I need some Feng shui advice on how to bring wealth, success and good relationships to my life!

I live in a studio at the back of my boyfriends parents house with my boyfriend. I notice that now we live in smaller place we are little bit more irritable i would also like some feng shui advice in this too!

Feng shui question for my home?

What are the best feng shui cures for love and health?
Please just people that know about feng shui…No need to waste time for others I’ll give you thumbs down.

For love, you want to make sure to have things in 2, in other words, don’t hang pictures up with 3 or more people or things in it, you want to have romantic images, and scenes in it, and no more than 2 of the image. You also want to have loving things, and pairs. So, if you have something, have a pair of them. It is the FAR RIGHT of the room that is the love corner. If you’re going by the map of your house, stand at your front door and it’s the FAR RIGHT room that’s your love area and if you want to go by each room, it’s the far right corner of the room.

For health, she says to hang pictures up of healthy images, of how to see yourself healthy, etc.

You can also go to HGTV and go to the show Fun Shui and SEE the Map she has that shows where each corner of your room or house respresents, like where your health, money, love, etc area is. She says you can even do this on a way and just make 9 boxes on a wall and put a few things in each box that represent that area, or you can do each room, or the house, it’s up to you. She is amazing! I would go to HGTV.com first and check out the show Fun Shui, they haven’t had it on it a while, but you can see her and what she did and get her advice and map, and then go to her website and check out the links to the books that she reccommends and check them out. She also has a phone consultation going on starting tomorrow night, it’s NOT too late to sign up! It’s $20 each one, it’s health, money, and love! It’s $50 to do all three, but I don’t remember how long each session is, it’s a group call, so you call the number and she runs the seminar over the phone like a teleseminar or tele class. I got a newsletter from her today saying there’s still time to get it, it’s for the next 3 Thursdays! You can sign up for that at the evolvingarts.com.

I would definitely check out her website and her show and the advice she gives, that’s where I learned about the love and having things in pairs. She says to keep things in 2s and have things symmetrical, and if you want love, act like you have it, so in your bedroom, make sure there are 2 lamps, 2 nightstands, and sleep on one side of the bed like there’s already one person in the bed with you, etc. Then she talks about surrounding yourself with the romantic imagery and having the pairs, etc.

For the health, there is the imagery of the health and what you’d like to be doing, etc, but there is more to that, I just don’t remember it all.

hey thanx for the replies…but u still dint answer my question …just tell me the exact direstion in simple english and not those hi-fi terms coz i’m not aquaited with feng shui a lot….and where do i place my water fountain…which location…specify the DIRECTION….cheers thanx once again

you should use your best favorable direction (Sheng Qi) that is North-West to place your bed, desk etc.

As to where to place your water fountain, analyze your home according to the Flying Star system to know in which sector of the house you should place it, which could be another room than your living room. But if it is your bedroom, avoid to place the water fountain there.

There is no specific direction to place a water fountain, so if you want to apply Feng Shui accurately, check first the Flying Stars.
