Feng Shui is very common in Japan and they take it literal. They use feng shui in many areas of their lives , at home, at the office and what they wear.
I had a feng shui reading done on my new home. I did not want to make any mistakes and decided to try it. It was quite expensive costing me $400 for a woman to come and measure each room and calculate the inches and which way doors and windows faced. She then advised me on how to make my home my sanctuary. Telling me exactly where to hang a huge wind chime, where to place furniture, to get a chime clock, and to hang a pendulum clock in one bedroom. Plus candles are important along with dishes of sand and twigs.
They can tell you if the area helps you make money, be healthy and be happy. Both at home and at work.

a foreign language? could I get a goverment post in an embassy or something like that? the three recession proof jobs..education, government, medical..I wish I could have a job where I could easily work in another country in case I get married to this Ecuadorian guy and but I don’t want to be a nurse even though you can work in another country that way because I just don’t!
I was thinking in majoring in Chinese and minoring in like business or something because I heard during WWII the people who were in demand for jobs were the ones that knew multiple languages and I am intermediate level in French…
Plus for fun I thought it would be cool to be a feng shui consultant..I just really don’t want to be a doctor or something like that!! it’s not in my heart!!
oh ok so i should major in a language then~! if that gives me a stable job~~
CAN ANYONE ANSWER MY FIRST QUESTION.. the one that said what kind of jobs can i get with a foreign language degree..
I have a friend with a degree in Japanese who is joining the ranks of the long term unemployed. Mind you, he is not aggressive at all in finding a job and seems unwilling to apply at the State Department, the CIA or the FBI.
Or you get a masters in education after and teach the language in high school. And that is a stable job.
